The Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission determines which ailments make it to the list of conditions. Currently, the qualifying conditions for a medical card in Maryland include:

Cachexia
Glaucoma
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
Seizures
Severe nausea
Severe or chronic pain
Persistent or severe muscle spasms
Wasting syndrome
A chronic medical condition that is severe and for which other treatments have been ineffective.
